Fall 2021 Update

Spring turned into Summer, Summer into Fall, and now Fall has turned into Winter. Here's our Fall update with a few of the things, people, and events that are big on our hearts and minds right now.

We really appreciate your love and prayers!

Big News, Big Project!

It took us a long time to get this special e-newsletter out as we waited and waited for our loan to be approved. We started the process in May and here we are in October, still without a loan! Our loan may change the amount we need to raise - actually we hope it does! We'll know in about 3 weeks for sure (we think, but we've thought that a few times already), but we didn't want to keep waiting to let you in on the news and get your prayers for this big project!

We also went through many different versions of this newsletter, from super short ones with just the facts to long creative ones with amazing stories and (probably too much) details (for most).

Here's the Big News, Big Project newsletter. It's the biggest fundraising email we've sent out in over ten  years, since the time we were raising funds to come to Japan. As we wrote in our newsletter, this project is outside of our comfort zones! It's definitely a God-sized project. Please keep us, this project, and the people in our community in your prayers!

VBS Praise Report

Thank you for your prayers for our VBS! We had a wonderful time and it was so amazing to see the kids working so hard to memorize the 26 Japanese verses, one for each letter of the alphabet. Some even memorized some of the English ones, too! Praise God! :D

Please continue praying for the students and their families. Please pray that the Bible verses and the words of the songs will take root deep in their hearts.

2020 End-of-Year Update

Happy New Year!

2020 was a year that we will never forget for more reasons than one. As with all of you, we had to make many adjustments to our everyday lives. Our ministries also looked a bit different from the time Japan declared its first State of Emergency in March.

You'll find a link to our latest e-newsletter here, which tells you in more detail about some of the new and wonderful things that took place during the past few months. Despite everything, through everything, we could see God working.

We are so thankful to be here and to be able to be your hands and feet here in Fukuoka, Japan.

Thank you so much for your love and prayers!

Christmas Update

Merry Christmas!

Here's a quick update we sent out on Christmas Day (maybe Christmas Eve in the US?).

We celebrated Christmas together as a family on the 26th, after our final event on Christmas Day. Our kids were blessed with many presents sent by many of you. Thank you!

We really are so grateful and honored to be here and to have been able to share about Jesus Christ's birth with many here.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support that allows us to be here.

May you have a wonderful CHRISTmas celebrating our Savior's birth and an amazing New Year full of God's goodness!

Fall 2019 Update

Click here for our Fall 2019 Newsletter. Warning: it's pretty long! But we have a lot on our minds and hearts right now, a lot going on in life and ministry. We wanted you to be able to have a real glimpse of what's going on and be able to pray for us generally and specifically, especially for those of you who like details and being able to pray for specific things.

Thank you so much for praying! We need lots and lots of prayer! :)

Quick Prayer Request Update

We sent out this prayer request in the bullet train. That was a first! :)
