In August we had our first family reunion since Juhee's 1st birthday last December. Dad's been working extra hard in Seoul, S. Korea and so it's been difficult for him to take vacation time off to spend time with us back in San Jose, CA, USA. He enjoyed spending time catching up with family and friends, playing with Juhee, playing a bit of golf, eating In-N-Out, eating mom's home-cooked food, and spent lots of time sleeping, catching up on lost sleep and trying to relax. Even this time around, he was only able to spend one short week with us due to his busy work schedule and the typical Korean work ethic of not taking vacation time off. Hopefully he'll be able to come home for Christmas / New Year's at the end of the year even if only for a week.
Jade and Jon also flew in from Dallas and stayed for just under a week too. Jon had a business trip in Oakland so was gone during the week and Jade was busy visiting her friends and our cousin in San Jose & SF but we still got to spend some quality time talking and praying together which was wonderful.
On the one Saturday we were all together, we
On Thursday, before Jade and Jon flew back early
I love spending time with my family as we're really close and have so much fun together! It's definitely going to be one of the things I'll miss the most once we're in Japan.
