Answered prayer

Dear co-laborer in the Lord,

God answered our prayer, but not exactly how we anticipated. Isn't that usually how God works? :) We tried to hurry our Departure for Japan so that we could get settled before the baby was born. However, it seems God, in His wisdom, wanted us to have our baby here in the US. Though a bit disappointed, we have much peace in knowing that God knows best, and we fully trust in Him. Our new target date is Fall 2010. This is when our Team Leaders, the Murrays, will return to Hiroshima from their upcoming furlough.

Thank you for continuing to partner with us on this journey to Japan. This journey is not a sprint, but a marathon, and God is definitely training us for the long haul. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!

What we're doing now

Now that we know we're staying in the US, we will be making preparations for the birth of our son due on May 9th, which is just over a month away! We'll be touring the hospital & pre-registering, looking for a pediatrician, going through our stored boxes to find our baby items to get them washed and cleaned, find out what other items we may need for the baby, re-organize our belongings to make space for the baby's crib, and the list goes on.

Peter will continue sharing our vision with churches, fellowships and small groups in order to raise prayer and financial partnerships in the Bay Area, SoCal, and beyond during the next few months. If you know any churches or fellowships that you think would like to partner with us in ministering in Japan, please let us know via email.

Along with giving birth to our son, Jenny will be working on completing at least one of her five 3-unit classes. She has just under 4 years to complete all 15 units of Bible training, and we're thinking it'll probably be easier to do so now than with a toddler & infant in Japan. :)

What we need to Depart

We now have 275 prayer partners committed to praying for us regularly, and 75% of our needed Monthly Financial Support has been pledged!

We thank God for bringing you into our lives, and partnering with us in sharing the Good News of the Risen Son in the land of the Rising Sun. We wouldn't be able to fulfill God's calling without you!

We are still seeking 91 prayer partners, and if 35 families were to pledge an average of $50 per month, we would achieve 100% of our needed Monthly Financial Support. Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with us.
