Our second Thanksgiving dinner was at the Murrays' and was a Pioneers Hiroshima Team + one more family dinner.
As you can tell, this Thanksgiving dinner came with all sorts of bells and whistles! We were in charge of appetizers and a fruit dessert. For appetizers, we took Ritz crackers with two types of ham and cheese stacked on top. Jess brought a fancy cheese dip with bread stick type things too. There was mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes with a layer of marshmallows on top, dressing (NOT stuffing! :)), string beans, salad, mac & cheese, bread rolls, cranberry sauce, gravy, and real US turkey that had been soaking in its juice all day. Susan and Mrs. W cooked up a storm! And this was just the main course...
Looks delicious, right? It was! :) Susan even brought back Thanksgiving paper plates back from the US for us to eat off of and a Thanksgiving runner for the table.
The adults minus me.
The big kids and little kids. Juhee really enjoyed playing with the boys. They're a little bit older than her and she's been going through an "I-don't-like-boys" phase, but she really liked those two! :) Shame they live so far away... :(
Dessert: apple pie, pumpkin pie, cold cream, and the fruit that we brought - satsumas, apples with cinnamon, and a strawberry & banana mix.
Everything was delicious and we had a blast! I laughed so hard I was crying. Mr. W is quite a story teller and his kids give him lots of amazing stories to tell! It was great meeting them and being able to have Thanksgiving all together. :)
