Summer Vacation KEC (Kid's English Club)

From 3 American churches, God sent 13 individuals to help share HIS GOOD NEWS to the children of Hiroshima, JAPAN. God assembled a motley crew consisting of members from Clearwater Community Church (link), Living Stones Christian Church (link), Global Harvest Church (link), the Pioneers Hiroshima team and the Japanese Christians who volunteered from Koyo and Kabe Chapels to serve alongside one another as one body in Christ.

Together, we conducted the first ever Summer Vacation Kids’ English Club (a week-long Vacation Bible School). 66 children attended, and several of their parents stayed and participated as well. The kids had a great time singing simple songs to practice English phrases, and they also sang children's Japanese Praise songs. They made very creative crafts every day, played hilarious games, had an educational English class, ate delicious snacks, and watched daily skits on hope and the life of Joseph. During the first week of August, we had a fun-packed week, and we thank God for it all coming together seamlessly. (Click on the collage to see a larger version.
