Juhee's Class Outing

"All of the kids and the moms are going to Bairin Park together on Monday from 2-4pm. Can you come?" It was during the hottest time of the day, we had friends from the US with us, and it was right during nap time so my American-style don't-mess-with-nap-time side of me instinctively said "no" but then I thought I should at least make an effort to go (especially as the location is only 5 minutes from our house) so I said "yes, but only for a little bit".

I'm so glad we went because Juhee had a blast! The outing ended up being in the nearby stream instead of at the park (which I guess everyone knew except for me 'cause most of them brought waterproof gear) and as it was Juhee's first time playing in a stream, she was a bit anxious at first, but with the help of one of the moms, she dipped her feet in and then ended up LOVING it! She had a great time playing in the stream and I talked with some of the moms now and again (depending on what Sungjae was doing) so it was a good time for both of us.

Juhee was very Japanese-y on our way home with her little Hello Kitty water bottle, an umbrella to shield herself from the sun, and her cute summer hat. :)

The kids were both very tired so fell asleep pretty quickly after we got back. (And there were no detrimental after-effects of the kids being off schedule for one day.) Yay!!! :)
