SCVJCC has three services (8am & 10am English, 11:15am Japanese), and we shared at all three very unique services. We were so grateful to meet so many members at the end of each service. We had many people come up to us, shake our hands, and say "Thank you for going to Japan as missionaries". We felt so encouraged! We had about 20 people sign up for our newsletter and commit to being our prayer partners. One elderly lady stood out because her hand shook uncontrollably as she signed up for our newsletter. But she continued to write, all the while apologizing for not being able to write legibly, demonstrating her desire to let us know that she appreciated us. In her weakness, she made us strong.

We took a picture with the pastors toward the end of our time at SCVJCC, and afterward, Pastor Jim (pictured next to Peter) shook Peter's hand and said "We'll be praying for you. You're going to a hard place!" and laughed. =DDD
