On Sunday, Feb 20th, Scott was asked to speak during the "Children's Time" at Kabe Chapel. Using powerpoint slides, he told the story of missionary Jim Elliot. As many of you will know, Jim Elliot is murdered by the tribe that he goes to reach out to so it's a bit of a gruesome story for kids!
While Scott was telling the story, Pastor Kitano translated. Juhee was the only one who understand the English telling of the story. At one point, Juhee said, "That's so funny, Uncle Scott!" and started laughing. =D (I think it was when Scott mentioned something about the Indian tribe eating people. I think she thought he was joking. @_@)
Scott and his helper, Taylor, laughed too. Scott continued the story and explained the importance of the work that Jim Elliot started with the Indian tribe, the importance, even, of his death and that of his friends and challenged the listeners - young and old - to be obedient in their faith and in their calling.
